Thanksgiving is full of "oral traditions", and one of them is corn, preferably a good ear of corn. Here's the candy alternative for those with a sweet tooth. I like the phallic nature of this item and just its strangeness in general. I know that candy corn is no stranger to our candy history, but somehow the ear of corn just doesn't scream "Yummy!".

You might find this hard to believe, but I've hung onto this ear of corn pop for probably about thirty years. Struck by its absurdity as a young lass, I had been unable to think of a good home for it online until the Thanksgiving gallery came along. Something else to be thankful for!
