Here's a nice vintage Mr. Goodbar wrapper. It's 2.5 ounces, which makes for a pretty large candy bar and helps explain the notion that it would make "a tasty lunch." It's interesting to see that the current trend of marketing energy bars as meal replacements is actually a recycling of the original method in whichcandy was marketed -- as something to give you pep and vigor or to provide a full, satisfying meal you could hold in one hand.
