Many people may remember the old-style marshmallow egg cartons that were made of cardboard. I have no examples of this, but I do have this more modern foam carton variation on the theme. It still has a pretty nutty 70s kind of look to it, and so I was inspired to buy it.

Judging by the carton, I believe most people would really look forward to popping it open and finding a carton of perky-looking eggs resting inside. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the carton and found this.

I really urge candy manufacturers to stop the recent practice of just dumping the candy inside, especially for Easter, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. Can't we have just a lilttle sense of occasion?
