Here we have El Autentico Paleton Corona, basically a chocolate-covered marshmallow on a stick. It might not seem all that remarkable to the casual candy wrapper collector, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I found it! When I had collected one of these pops decades ago, I never imagined that I would see one again. Now I'm thinking that it's probably a common, popular candy in Mexico. After all, what do I really know?
I'm saddened to see that they lost the eerie, old-fashioned rendering of the boy and the surrealistic touch of showing the boy holding a pop with his picture on it, but at least the candy endures. Finding another one of these after all these years was surrealistic enough for me.
